Midterm Reflection
This quarter in Spanish class I learned a lot about family, friends, outdoor activities, and newscasts. I have enjoyed most the projects that we have done in this class. My favorite project was probably the one that we just did with our groups about the news report. I also enjoy singing the songs in class and for extra credit. I have had trouble with most of the grammar and conjugations. Specifically I mess up a lot with the preterite and imperfect tenses, and I think I still need to work on that. In the next quarter of the class, I think that I need to work on more studying for my vocabulary and grammar quizzes. Although I pay attention in class to the grammar that we have learned, I still need to take my own time to study the same things we have learned in class so that I can understand them on my own. To accomplish making improvement in this class, I will need to work on studying a lot. I think that is one thing that will majorly help my grade. I will also try to take all the opportunities possible for extra credit. I have taken most opportunities other than the vocabulary extra credit flash cards. I will try to do those whenever I have time or don’t understand the vocabulary. I will also try to pay more attention in class to the grammar to help me understand it more!

Generalmente, durante los veranos mi familia y yo vamos a la playa. Vamaos a la playa en el coche. Mis primos van a la playa tambian. Sí, tiene que hacer reservaciones con anticipación en la playa. El mundo de Botero
Fernando Botero, nacido ed Medellín en 1932, es uno de los artistas colombianos más importantes de nuestro tiempo. Sus obras, entre las cuales se encuentran cuadros, dibujos y esculturas, tienen un estilo único que combina la historia del arte, la vida burguesa, la cultural colombiana y los personajes históricos.
Botero use una manera tradicional de pintar, transformada por su visión personal, única y original. Una característica común de los personajes no son delgados sino gordoes, sus cuerpos se encuentran exagerandos, ensanchados. Con esota, el srtista quiere explorar el voluman y las figuras geométricas en al espacio.
Sus personajes masculinos y femeninos parecen estáticos, como preparados para una fotografía, y dirigen los ojos hacia la persona que mira el cuadro. La mujer, teme muy frecuente en sus obras, esrepresentada de diferentes edades y en diferentes papeles, como madre, abuela, madrastra, esposa, hija, reina; mientras que el hombre es representado con boca y bigotes pwequeños, y brazos cortos.

Midterm Reflection
My favorite thing about first quarter was making the collage and presenting it in front of the class. Although I was nervous to present, it turned out well and helped me learn. My least favorite thing about the first quarter was probably the Topic 4 Project. I thought it was a hard project. During the first quarter, I did well studying for grammar quizzes. On the other hand, I didn't do well studying for vocabulary quizzes; I think I could do better with that by using my quizlet more. My strengths are working in class, while my weaknesses are comprehending things at home while I am by myself. I do better while I am being explained things around other people.

Spanish 2 Goals
My goals for Spanish 2 are to get a good grade and to learn more about the Spanish Language. I want to go past my Spanish 1 skills and learn more ways to talk in Spanish. To reach these goals I am going to try to study my vocabulary every day, as well as doing as much of the extra credit as I can. If I do not understand something, I'm going to ask as many questions as I need, and come in for extra tutoring if I need to. In the past few weeks, I have done an alright job of doing this, I could improve on studying every night though.
